  • Wrangle Your Selvages: A 5 video mini-course on selvages and how to use them in projects.

  • NEW for 2026! Simply Scrappy Quilt Along: A 1-hour live quilt along via ZOOM to make a simple project using your “wrangled” scraps.

By the end of this challenge, you’ll have:

  • Learned various fabric scrap sorting processes

  • Learned how to cut up your fabric scraps into specific sizes perfect for pieced projects

  • Learned different storage options so you can decide which will work best for you

  • Learned how to maintain your fabric scraps to avoid them stampeding again 🐎

  • Learned how to create, sort, organize, and store your selvages as well as get ideas for selvage projects

  • Made a small project from your perfectly sorted and organized scraps in the Simply Scrappy Quilt Along 😀

  • Started using your scraps in the Diamond Bright quilt project.

The Wrangle Your Scraps Challenge is an online event so you can join from anywhere in the world.

Join me, Kim Jamieson-Hirst of Chatterbox Quilts, for this online challenge. Over the years I’ve been overrun by a stampede of fabric scraps and have developed a full-proof method to wrangle them. I’ve helped hundreds of quilters, just like you, set up their fabric scrap system so your fabrics are ready for the next project.

Questions You May Have:

How long do I have access to the Wrangle Your Scraps Challenge?

You will have access to the stand-alone course until December 17, 2026.

What if I can’t join the Wrangle your Scraps Challenge now? Will I be able to join at a later date?

No, this is a limited time offer so that all participants can work together on the challenge and be successful together.

I’m not sure if I have enough time to complete the challenge.

You don’t have to do all of your fabric scraps. If you have a large number of fabric scraps, I suggest that you only work with some of them so you’ll learn the technique and then be able to apply the methods to the rest of your pieces after the end of the challenge. The time you spend now – about 30 – 60 minutes for each step – will result in a well-organized scrap fabric area that will save you lots of time in the future as you’ll be easily able to find the pieces you need for your projects.

I’m not very computer savvy – will I be able to do the Wrangle your Scraps Challenge?

Absolutely! The challenge is held in The Chatterbox Quilter’s Network, which is very easy to use and we’ll be there to help you if you need it.
